The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is a state agency that supports individuals with disabilities and their families in living, learning, and working within their communities. Established in 2004, APD serves over 60,000 Floridians with various disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. The agency provides multiple pathways to possibilities, including social, medical, behavioral, residential, and therapeutic services. APD's mission is to enhance the lives of Floridians with disabilities through effective and meaningful service delivery, empower individuals by providing timely and clear information, and provide exemplary customer service.
