Alliance of Disability Advocates (ADANC) is a federally recognized Center for Independent Living (CIL) that was established in 1999 (then Universal Disability Advocates). Our goal is to promote independent living for individuals with disabilities and to maximize their leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity. We strive for equal access and individual and system advocacy for the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of American society. We are a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, non-residential private non-profit agency that serves our surrounding communities. We are funded by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (The Act).
