Alternative Paths Training (APTS) is a year-round special education day school in Alexandria, VA offering a highly structured classroom setting for students with Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and more. We specialize in providing intensive services to students with self-injurious behaviors (SIBs) and aggressive behaviors. Our primary focus is to support and challenge students to reach their full potential by facilitating their learning and growth academically, socially, emotionally, and in other areas of life. With full implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), we provide students academic, vocational, and life skills tracks, where students are educated daily from 8:10 am until 3:15 pm.
