Aspira Family Focused Support Network (FFSN) is a practical support program designed to help families with children who have developmental disabilities and/or special health care needs. FFSN offers tools to assist families in keeping their children at home instead of in group care. Families are referred to the program by a state-funded Developmental Regional Center case manager and an Aspira social worker contacts the family to serve as the program coordinator. A personalized program tailored to the child and family is developed and implemented with the aim of improving parenting skills and enhancing the quality of life for the family. Founded in 1995, Aspira’s FFSN has served more than 100 families to date.
