Aspira Family Focused Support Network (FFSN) is a practical support program designed to assist families with children who have developmental disabilities and/or special health care needs. Referred to FFSN by a state-funded Developmental Regional Center, families are connected with a social worker who serves as a program coordinator. An individualized program is specifically tailored to each child and family, and includes training, family meetings, and home visits to improve parenting skills and enhance the quality of life for the child and all family members. Founded in 1995, over 100 families have completed the FFSN program, with many families completing the program in the initial six-month period, and others staying on longer depending on their needs.
