Aspira Family Focused Support Network (FFSN) is a voluntary program helping families with children with developmental disabilities and/or special health care needs. Referrals are received from state-funded Developmental Regional Centers and an Aspira social worker contacts the family to serve as program coordinator. An initial assessment is conducted to evaluate the family’s needs, and a contract is signed to guarantee full participation in the program. Intensive services are provided through training, family meetings, and home visits to improve parenting skills and enhance the quality of life for all family members. Founded in 1995, Aspira FFSN has served more than 100 families and is dedicated to helping families keep their children with disabilities living at home.
