At Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT), we are dedicated to providing quality services to children with special needs in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. We were founded in October 2007 by Renea Sageser, a stay-at-home mom, and our first clinic opened its doors in January 2008. Now, we are over 200 employees strong and growing. We focus on opening clinics in rural areas to ensure that children can access the care they need close to their homes. Our team-based approach offers multiple pediatric services in fun and stimulating locations, and we value our partnerships with other pediatric facilities, daycares, nursing facilities, schools, and more to provide therapy in a natural learning environment. Our patients love to come to therapy, making APT the ideal choice for pediatric care.

At Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT) in Lexington, we understand if you’re wondering if your child needs speech therapy. Speech therapy is often recommended for children with autism, as they often have difficulty with social communication. Even if your child is verbal and speaks a lot, they may still need to work on communication skills such as responding to questions, transitioning between topics, using gestures, and understanding body language. Early intervention with speech therapy is important for language development, and can help your child become more independent and confident. If your child is very quiet, struggles to use words, or does not speak at all, speech therapy may be beneficial. To help you understand if your child needs speech therapy, APT offers a comprehensive guide to help you understand the process.
