The Astra Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to supporting programs and initiatives that help children with special needs and those living in low-income areas to thrive. Since 2001, we have been offering training opportunities for adults working with these children, many of which are on the autism spectrum. Our courses, developed in partnership with Lesley University, focus on the DIR®/Floortime model and have been taken by nearly 400 students and professionals in the greater Boston area. We have also enrolled nearly 300 parents in our workshops for families. Our mission is to empower those who care for children with special needs and make a meaningful impact on their lives.
