Autism Garden is an organization founded by Angela Sanders in 2005. With a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, Angela has extensive experience working in nursing homes and teaching K-4, 4-8 and Special Ed K-12. Furthering her education in teaching, she attained her Masters with a focus on behavior analysis. Upon completion, she interned at an autism treatment center, where she later became an employee and studied for her BCBA certification. After passing her BCBA exam, Angela realized her dream of opening her own center – Autism Garden – dedicated to providing quality care and assistance to those with autism.

At Autism Garden, we specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This type of therapy is rooted in the science of learning and behavior, and is used to help children and adults learn communication, social, and daily living skills. It also helps address challenging behaviors. ABA therapy is all about creating independence and reducing behaviors that can be harmful. We’ve put together a comprehensive guide to help you understand ABA therapy and how it can help you or your loved one.
At Autism Garden, we understand that it can be a daunting decision to decide whether Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is right for your child. We want to help ensure you have the resources you need to make an informed decision. We believe that ABA should be used to improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors, not to “cure” autism or to make anyone appear “less autistic”. Our goal is to help children learn all that they can so they can live to their fullest potential, while embracing their unique individual personality traits. If you’re looking for more information on ABA and what it entails, check out our complete guide to starting and ending ABA therapy.
At Autism Garden, we understand that ABA therapy can be expensive, so our goal is to provide you with information to help you understand the cost of ABA therapy for your child. ABA is typically covered by insurance if your child has an autism diagnosis, and it is usually the only diagnosis for which insurance will authorize ABA services, since its benefits have been extensively researched. Before making any decisions, it is important to check with your specific insurance plan to confirm that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnosis and that the provider you are seeking care from is in-network. To help you make this decision, we have put together a comprehensive guide to ABA therapy – so you can make the most informed choice.
