Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC) is a specialty clinic at the University of Miami dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluations, therapy, screenings, and social skills groups for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other social-communicative difficulties. Our highly experienced licensed psychologists are committed to providing individualized and compassionate care, with services ranging from gold standard measures (e.g., ADOS, ADI-R, and SRS) and tests of cognition, language, adaptive behavior, social-emotional functioning, attention, etc., to family therapy and parent training. ASAC also collaborates with the University of Miami / Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), a nonresidential resource center, to ensure that families of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders have access to free clinical, outreach, and support services. Our team is also involved in developing and conducting autism research and training future researchers and clinicians in the scientific study, assessment, and treatment of people with developmental disabilities, in general, and ASD in particular.

At Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic, we understand the importance of making the right decision for your child when it comes to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We believe that ABA should be used to improve communication skills, increase productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors – never to “cure” autism. Our goal is to help your child learn all that they can so they can live to their potential while embracing their unique, individual personality traits.
