Avita Community Partners was founded in 1993 by the Georgia State Legislature to provide services to people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and addiction. Our mission is to help individuals, families, and communities minimize barriers and achieve their dreams. Our 13-county area of northeast Georgia provides a variety of services and programs to create safe, stable, and meaningful lives for citizens. We envision communities that act responsibly towards all citizens, providing support and comprehensive services to individuals and families in crisis. At Avita Community Partners, we believe that individuals we serve should have a home, job, and meaningful interaction in the community, supported by both biological and chosen families who share knowledge and expertise.
