Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc. (BCID) is a non-profit, grass roots organization operated by a majority of people with disabilities since 1956. We are dedicated to guaranteeing the civil rights of people with disabilities and improving their quality of life. Our comprehensive services, advocacy and education programs empower people with disabilities to gain greater control of their lives and achieve full and equal integration into society. We strive to eliminate physical, attitudinal and communication barriers that impede the independence of people with disabilities in Brooklyn.
