BLAST is an after school program for children who need assistance to experience success in the classroom, playground, or extracurricular youth activities. Our program provides successful experiences that help children to improve their social skills and increase their ability to function in various situations. Campers participate in structured activities followed by group discussions, and are taught how to articulate their feelings, make and keep friends, handle frustration, follow directions, and control their impulses. We also offer Parent Education sessions, including two meetings specifically designed to provide parents with the skills to handle challenging children. At BLAST, we strive to build lasting success together.
