At Camp Paivika, we believe in a new dawn of welcome, acceptance, and inclusion. As one of the first fully accessible camps in the United States, located in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest, we offer overnight summer programs for individuals with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities. Our programs are tailored to enable fun and encourage participation, and our staff are trained to provide personal care as needed. Our 2018 post-session survey showed that 94% of campers surveyed gained confidence to make new friends, 99% of camper families felt that having their camper attend Camp Paivika made a positive difference in their lives, and 100% of camper families would recommend Camp Paivika to family or friend. With our focus on “can” not “can’t”, Camp Paivika is fully accessible and capable of accommodating individuals who use wheelchairs, walkers or other adaptive devices.
