Camphill Communities California is a life-sharing community for adults with developmental disabilities and of all abilities, located near Santa Cruz, California. Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive community that recognizes the potential of every person. Residents are dedicated to caring for the land using organic and biodynamic practices, tending to our six properties of land and gardens, producing vegetables, and cultivating a small orchard. One of our main day activities is gardening, and includes the creation of herb tea and culinary cooking mixes. We also have a weaving studio, where residents create beautiful products for household and gift items. Additionally, our residents participate in volunteer opportunities, internships, and supported employment programs in the wider Santa Cruz community.
