The Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) is a Pennsylvania-based educational services agency that was created in 1971 by an Act of PA legislature. Our services are intended to support local schools and districts in our footprint, which includes Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and northern York counties, including the Harrisburg area. CAIU provides the highest standard of educational services, resources, and professional development to our clients. We are committed to helping all students reach their fullest potential and providing our stakeholders with the best possible educational services.
