At the Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, we provide diagnostic assessments for children of all ages that employ state-of-the-art methods such as the ADI-R, Direct Observations, the CARS, the ASDS, and medical and educational records reviews. We also use adaptive behavior scales and will be implementing the Ohio Autism Project’s recommendations when they become available. Our specialty is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a method of teaching skills that relies on rewards to reinforce the use of language, social behaviors, and the decrease of inappropriate behaviors. With ongoing analysis of skill acquisition and behavior management, we can modify our teaching methods and rewards to best suit the individual child.
