The Center for Independence (CFI) is a consumer-driven, community based, non-residential, not-for-profit organization based in Salida, Colorado. Our mission is to provide individualized service and system advocacy to persons with all types of disabilities. We strive to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and to promote community solutions. Our services are available to anyone regardless of age, disability, or illness and are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. At CFI, we work to develop a personalized goal plan (independent living plan) that best suits the individual’s disability and lifestyle.
