Charles Shidlofsky, OD, is a Dallas-based optometrist who was born and raised in Lawrence, New York, and moved to the Dallas area at 16. He graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas in 1980 and completed his pre-optometry studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. After receiving his BS in 1986 and OD in 1988 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn., Dr. S returned to the Dallas area to begin his practice. Dr. S has become well-known for his work in Neurodevelopmental Optometry, helping children with vision issues related to ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorders and other classic vision problems. He has also expanded his work to include those with traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke and other neurological processing issues.
