At Cheshire Center, we understand how important it is to recognize when your child might need speech therapy. We have created a comprehensive guide to help you understand the signs and symptoms of when your child may need speech therapy, and how it can help them develop socially and emotionally. Speech therapy is a critical part of early intervention for autistic children and can help them to develop language and communication skills. It can also help them become more independent and confident in their ability to communicate. Our guide will help you determine if your child needs speech therapy, and will provide you with the resources and tools you need to ensure your child receives the best possible care.
At Cheshire Center, our knowledgeable and experienced speech therapists are dedicated to helping your child communicate effectively with others. Through individualized treatment plans, our speech therapists are able to work on developing your child’s nonverbal skills, such as signs or gestures, as well as improving verbal speech, understanding facial expressions and body language, and even helping with feeding and swallowing difficulties. Our team of Speech Therapists will provide the best advice and support to help you and your child reach their communication goals.
