Children’s Hospital Regional Outpatient Center in Rockville is proud to be ranked in the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News World Report for the fifth year in a row – with the #1 ranked neonatology program. We have also received top 10 honors in neurology and neurosurgery, cancer, nephrology, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, and diabetes and endocrinology. As one of the leading pediatric healthcare providers, we are committed to bringing health and well-being to all children. We are also home to the Children’s National Research Institute and the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation, which receive more than 70% of their research funding from federal agencies, including 60% from the National Institutes of Health. Additionally, the HSC Health Care System became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Childrens National in 2019, providing a health plan, pediatric specialty hospital, home health agency, rehabilitative therapy centers and parent foundation to serve people with complex health care needs and eliminate barriers to health services.
