At Children’s Innovative Therapy Group, LLC (CITG), we understand that it can be difficult to determine if your child needs speech therapy. If your child has been diagnosed with autism, speech therapy is almost always recommended. Speech therapy can help your child with communication skills, such as responding to questions, starting or ending conversations, changing topics, and understanding body language. Early intervention is key to successfully teaching language and communication, thus helping your child grow into a more independent and confident individual. Signs that your child might need speech therapy include not speaking or saying only a few words, as well as difficulty with other communication skills.
