If you’re wondering whether your child needs speech therapy, Children’s Therapy Clinic can help. Our team of expert speech therapists can assess your child’s communication abilities and provide personalized recommendations. Speech therapy is especially important for autistic children since many people with autism have difficulty with social communication. Even if a child is very verbal and says a lot of words, they may need to improve communication skills such as responding to questions, starting or ending conversations, changing conversation topics, and understanding other people’s body language. Speech therapy is a key part of early intervention for autistic children and is often the starting point for newly diagnosed kids. Early intervention is critical for language development and for teaching language and communication skills, which can help kids become more independent and confident. If your child is quiet, says only a few words, or doesn’t speak at all, they may benefit from speech therapy. For more information, visit our complete guide to speech therapy. At Children’s Therapy Clinic, we’re here to provide the best care and resources to help your child reach their full potential.
At Children’s Therapy Clinic, we believe that speech therapy can be incredibly beneficial for children. Our experienced therapists can help your child develop their verbal and nonverbal communication skills, improve their ability to form speech clearly, gain a better understanding of facial expressions, and even work on feeding and swallowing. We also strive to help your child communicate effectively with others in all environments, whether that be through verbal speech, signs, gestures, or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Our goal is to help your child gain the skills necessary to communicate, be understood, and build relationships.
