Cindy Nelson, PT

Cindy Nelson is a highly experienced pediatric physical therapist with over 40 years in the industry. She founded Nelson Pediatric Therapy in 1986 and has since become a leader in the field. After her first two years of graduation, she worked in a general hospital’s Cardiac Rehab department at Loma Linda University. She then moved to Japan and developed the pediatric therapy department at the Department of Defense Dependents Schools, where she evaluated and treated infants and children with a variety of special needs. Cindy also organized the first joint Japanese/American Special Olympics on Okinawa and held trainings for the marines who worked with the children. After a brief tenure in Boston organizing a Cardiac Rehab department at Beth Israel Hospital, Cindy moved back west to Arizona in 1986. Throughout her career, she has consistently shown a passion for working with children with special needs and has built Nelson Pediatric Therapy to include only the best therapists.
