Have questions?

At Clearbrook Center Child and Family Connections, we understand that it can be difficult to determine if your child needs speech therapy. If your child has been diagnosed with autism, speech therapy is almost always recommended to help with social communication. This is because there are many specific areas in which autistic people have difficulty communicating, such as responding to questions, starting or ending conversations, changing conversation topics, using gestures, and understanding other people’s body language. Speech therapy is an important part of early intervention for autistic children, and is the first step in helping them learn effective communication skills. If your child is very quiet, says only a few words, or doesn’t speak at all, it might be time to look into speech therapy. To learn more about speech therapy and how it can benefit your child, please visit our comprehensive guide on the subject.

At Clearbrook Center Child and Family Connections, speech therapy can help your child communicate more effectively in a variety of ways. Our therapists can help with nonverbal skills, forming speech more clearly, expressing thoughts and feelings, understanding questions, discerning facial expressions, understanding body language, feeding and swallowing, and even stuttering. With speech therapy, your child will be able to take on the world with the confidence of effective communication.

Clearbrook Center Child and Family Connections is proud to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. ABA is rooted in the science of learning and behavior and can be used to help children and adults improve their communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills. Additionally, ABA can reduce the impact of problematic and challenging behaviors. The ultimate goal of ABA therapy is to teach helpful skills that promote independence and reduce unwanted behaviors. Our team of highly-trained professionals can help answer any questions you may have about ABA and provide the best course of action for your family’s needs. Check out our comprehensive guide to ABA therapy to learn more!

At Clearbrook Center Child and Family Connections, we know that it’s a big decision to make for your family when it comes to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and deciding if it is the right choice for your child. We understand the importance of finding a quality ABA provider who looks to support your child’s development, rather than “cure” autism. That’s why we’ve created a complete guide on ABA therapy, designed to help you start and end the process with confidence. With the right provider, ABA can help your child improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors. We are here to help you and your family find a personalized program that works for you, one that will help your child live to their potential while embracing their unique personality traits.

At Clearbrook Center Child and Family Connections, we understand that you may have questions about the cost of ABA therapy. Generally, ABA is typically covered by insurance if your child has an autism diagnosis, as this is the only diagnosis insurance will authorize for ABA services due to its documented benefits. It is important to check with your specific insurance plan to ensure that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnosis and that the provider you are seeking care from is in-network. To provide further insight into ABA therapy, we have created a comprehensive guide to help answer all your questions.
