At Community Therapeutic Day School (CTDS), founded in 1974, we provide therapeutic educational services for children ages 3 – 12 who have emotional and neurologic difficulties that impede their learning and prevent them from attending regular school programs. Our experienced team helps children who may have hyperactivity, social isolation, psychosis, affective disorders, mood dysregulation, autistic defenses, atypical development, distracting fantasies, speech and language delays, behavioral disorders, and motor and sensory integration deficits. We also strive to create an environment where children can develop appropriate social relationships. Our comprehensive assessment process helps us to identify if the root cause of the disability is emotional, neurologic, environmental, or a combination of factors. CTDS is a private, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, gender identity, creed, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability and homelessness in its educational programs, services, activities or employment practices in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. We are committed to supporting the whole child and helping them to reach their full potential.
