For almost 50 years, the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities (CCDD) has been dedicated to creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in the state of Connecticut. Since its establishment in 1971 by Governor Meskill, CCDD has received federal funding to develop a comprehensive plan for providing services to people with developmental disabilities. We work to ensure that all individuals with disabilities receive the support, services, and advocacy they need to thrive in their community and lead fulfilling lives. Our goal is to promote inclusivity and further the rights of people with disabilities, while also engaging in education, research, and policy reform initiatives. We strive to create a world where everyone has equal access and opportunity.
