Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group (C.W. HOG) is a self-help group founded in 1981 by Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, to provide recreational opportunities for people of all abilities. Our four core goals are to: provide challenging outdoor adventure activities in a supportive environment; establish a supportive social network for people with disabilities and able-bodied individuals; further societal integration by building ties between individuals with disabilities and other community members; and educate the community to accept and value people with disabilities. Through our efforts, we hope to make outdoor recreation accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or mental ability.
