The Disabilities Law Program (DLP) is a special project of Community Legal Aid Society, Inc., and is designated by the Governor as the Protection and Advocacy agency in Delaware. We provide legal advocacy services to Delaware residents with physical or mental disabilities, based on federal agency guidance and needs identified by consumer and community groups. Our services include individual advocacy such as investigation, mediation, negotiation, legal consultation and legal representation; systemic advocacy to emphasize major reform efforts on critical issues affecting clients; general information on available services, rights and remedies; referral services to other sources; and community education and self-advocacy training. Through our services, we strive to help Delaware residents with disabilities understand and protect their legal rights.
