At Diane Woolsey, SLP, we understand that it can be difficult to determine if your child needs speech therapy. If your child is autistic, then speech therapy is almost always recommended. However, even if your child is very verbal, they may benefit from speech therapy, as it can help them learn skills like responding to questions, changing conversation topics, and understanding body language. Early intervention is key for speech therapy, and this is especially important for children who have delays in language development. If you’re unsure if your child needs speech therapy, our complete guide can help you understand the signs to look for and the benefits of speech therapy for your child.
At Diane Woolsey, SLP, we strive to help your child reach their maximum potential through speech therapy. Our team of skilled professionals use a variety of approaches to support your child’s communication needs. These can include using gestures, signs, verbal speech, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Additionally, our team can help with nonverbal skills, forming speech in a clearer way, communicating thoughts and feelings, understanding and responding to questions, discerning facial expressions and body language, and managing stuttering. We are committed to helping your child reach their communication goals through customized and comprehensive speech therapy.
