DisAbility Partners, formerly Pathways for the Future, is a non-profit, charitable organization formed in 1991 to advocate for issues that concern persons with disabilities. We have evolved into a Center for Independent Living (CIL) providing core services such as Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, Peer Counseling, Transitions and Advocacy to the far western counties of Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Swain, Clay, Cherokee and Graham. Our organization is consumer-managed and controlled, community based, cross-disability and non-residential. We strive to empower and support those living with disabilities in our community.
