About Disability Rights New York | Rochester

Disability Rights New York | Rochester is a Protection and Advocacy (P A) System and Client Assistance Program (CAP) mandated by federal law to advocate for and protect the rights of individuals with disabilities. Our primary mission is to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to their rights and are not subjected to abuse or neglect. We provide legal representation to those with disabilities, investigate cases of abuse and neglect, and engage in advocacy to advance the rights of individuals with disabilities. We are committed to providing a safe and equitable environment for people with disabilities to live, work, and access services.
