Disability Rights Vermont, Inc. (DRVT) is a private, non-profit corporation, created in response to Congress’ concern that States weren’t doing enough to protect people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and rights violations. As part of the National Protection and Advocacy system, DRVT has been designated by the Governor of Vermont as the PA system for more than fifteen years. Our mission is to ensure that people with disabilities in Vermont enjoy the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. We strive to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and equality.
