At the Division for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs, our mission is to promote good health, quality of life and support for children and youth with special health care needs and their families. Our team at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health works with families, providers, and others to provide care for children and youth from birth to 22 with chronic medical, physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional conditions. We strive to deliver quality services that meet the needs of children with special health care needs, as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
