Dr. Kenneth Towbin is a renowned Chief of Clinical Child Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) in the Emotion and Development Branch of the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). He is a Senior Research Physician at NIH since 2001 and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at The George Washington University School of Medicine (GWUSM). Dr. Towbin has dedicated his career to research and treatment of a range of children’s psychiatric disorders such as Tourette Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Currently, he is collaborating with Dr. Pine to develop treatments for resistant major depression in teens.
