Easter Seals New York | Port Jervis, Project Discovery, offers an integrated educational program for preschoolers, including special education services, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and counseling for children with special needs and those without. In addition, Project Discovery provides free Universal Pre-Kindergarten services to Port Jervis School District Residents for the year prior to entering kindergarten. Our highly-trained staff includes an occupational therapist, speech therapist and physical therapist. Each classroom is team-taught by New York State-certified general education and special education teachers, as well as experienced and certified teaching assistants. Our programwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) approach uses proactive teaching and acknowledgments to ensure students are safe, kind, and responsible.
