The Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (FDVR) has been providing services for persons with disabilities since 1920. We are committed to supporting individuals with disabilities and empowering them to reach their career goals. We provide training, prosthetics, and placement services to help individuals with disabilities lead fulfilling lives and gain access to competitive employment opportunities. Our mission is to ensure that all individuals with disabilities have equal access to employment opportunities and the resources they need to achieve their goals. FDVR is proud to have been instrumental in the passing of the Smith-Fess Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the 1992 Amendments to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, all of which have had a tremendous impact on American life and culture by promoting civil rights and providing individuals with disabilities the same freedoms as everyone else.
