The Georgia Department of Public Health | District 4 Public Health | Butts County Health Department is dedicated to providing early intervention services to children under 3 years old with special needs, developmental delays, or chronic health conditions. Our Babies Can’t Wait program offers screenings to evaluate physical and cognitive health, motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth, and adaptive development. With one in six children in the United States having developmental disabilities and many more experiencing delays in language and cognition, we believe it is essential to detect and address any delays before they become more serious. Our multi-disciplinary approach includes working with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators to help improve the child’s development potential and meet the family’s needs.
