The Georgia Department of Public Health | District 4 Public Health | Carroll County Health Department provides comprehensive early intervention services to children under 3 years old with special needs, developmental delays, or chronic health conditions. Our Babies Can’t Wait program offers screenings to evaluate physical and cognitive health, motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth, and adaptive development. We take a multi-disciplinary approach, working with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators to help children reach their full potential and provide families the support they need. With 1 in 6 children in the US having developmental disabilities, we recognize the critical importance of early intervention to detect developmental delays and support healthy development.
