The Georgia Department of Public Health | District 4 Public Health | Coweta County Health Department offers the Babies Can’t Wait program, which serves children aged 0-3 years old with special needs, developmental delays or chronic health conditions. We provide comprehensive screenings to evaluate physical and cognitive health, motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth and adaptive development. Our multi-disciplinary team – including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors and service coordinators – use evidence-based approaches to support the child’s growth and prepare them for success in school. Our goal is to detect developmental delays early on and provide intervention to improve the child’s development potential and meet the family’s needs.
