The Georgia Department of Public Health, District 4 Public Health, and Fayette County Health Department are dedicated to helping children under 3 years old with special needs, developmental delays, and chronic health conditions. Through our Babies Can’t Wait program, we provide comprehensive screenings for physical, cognitive, and social/emotional growth, as well as evaluations of motor skills, communication, and adaptive development. We understand that the first 3 years of life are a critical period for detecting and intervening in any developmental delays that may become barriers to healthy growth. Our multi-disciplinary team is comprised of physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators, all working together to improve the child’s development potential and meet the family’s needs. We are committed to helping children in our community reach their full potential.
