The Georgia Department of Public Health, District 4 Public Health, and Henry County Health Department are committed to helping children under the age of 3 who have special needs, developmental delays, or chronic health conditions. Through our Babies Can’t Wait program, we provide comprehensive screening and evaluation of physical and cognitive health, motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth, and adaptive development. We focus on diagnosing developmental delays before they become barriers to healthy development, as a child’s brain is most rapidly developing during their first three years. Our multi-disciplinary approach involves working with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child and the family. Our goal is to improve the child’s development potential and meet the family’s needs.
