The Georgia Department of Public Health | District 4 Public Health | Pike County Health Department offers the Babies Can’t Wait program to serve children under 3 years old who have special needs, developmental delays, or chronic health conditions. Our team provides screenings to evaluate physical and cognitive health, as well as motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth, and adaptive development. We understand the importance of early intervention for children with developmental delays, which is why our multi-disciplinary approach includes physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators to support the child’s growth and meet the family’s needs. Our goal is to help children reach their highest potential and prepare them for success in school.
