The Georgia Department of Public Health, District 4 Public Health and Troup County Health Department provide comprehensive services through their Babies Can’t Wait program, which serves children under 3 years old with special needs, developmental delays or chronic health conditions. Our team of physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, special instructors, and service coordinators use a multi-disciplinary approach to evaluate physical and cognitive health, motor skills, communication, social/emotional growth, adaptive development, and address any language and cognitive delays. Our program is designed to detect and address any developmental delays before they become barriers to healthy development, and to provide extra intervention to support the child’s growth and prepare them for success in school.
