The Georgia Department of Public Health’s East Central Health District and Burke County Health Department are committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of Georgia’s children from birth to age 5. Through Children 1st, our unique initiative, we provide no-cost home visits to connect families with the appropriate health, developmental, and family-support services. We collaborate with public, private, and community resources to ensure that Georgia’s children are given the best possible care and support. Participation is voluntary and parents can withdraw at any time.
