Georgia Department of Public Health | East Central Health District | Jefferson County Health Department is dedicated to helping ensure all of Georgia’s children stay in the best possible health. We offer no-cost, in-home visits to arrange help for families’ needs and link them to health, developmental and family-support services. Our team of professionals at Children 1st identifies children at risk for poor health and/or developmental outcomes from birth to age 5, and works with public, private, and community resources to provide the support they need. Participation is always voluntary and parents can withdraw at any time.
