Georgia Options, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded by a group of Athens families to provide support for adults with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to equip those we support to be included in their communities and to live the life they feel destined to live. We are the only organization in Georgia that is dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. With over 100 direct support professionals, our leadership team, our board of directors, and the help of countless volunteers, we strive to break barriers and build bridges for everyone. Our work is inspired by the Americans with Disabilities Act, which was passed in 1990 to prohibit discrimination against persons with disabilities in public accommodations, private employment, and government services. At Georgia Options, we continue the fight for disability justice and full community inclusion for persons with disabilities.
