Heather M. Scheer is a Washington state licensed and nationally certified Speech Language Pathologist with 26 years of experience helping children and adolescents with various disabilities. She started her career in local school districts, allowing her to bring a unique perspective when navigating IEP teams. Heather has worked with profoundly impacted and medically fragile students, those with moderate intellectual disabilities, preschoolers, and those in general education classrooms who required speech therapy support. In 1996, she opened her own private practice and found a passion for working with those with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has attended multiple conferences in the Pacific Northwest and beyond to deepen her knowledge on the impact of Autism Spectrum Disorders from diagnosis through transition into adulthood. In her private practice, her client caseload ranges from infants to high school students with a variety of communication needs.
