Independent Living, Inc., a locally controlled, non-profit agency operated by people with disabilities for people with disabilities, has been providing a wide range of programs and services dedicated to ensuring access and opportunity in every aspect of community life since 1987. We serve residents of Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan and Rockland Counties, offering assistance to individuals of all ages with disabilities, as well as to families, businesses, agencies, and municipalities. Our mission is to eliminate physical and attitudinal barriers, while helping individuals with disabilities to become independent. In the 30 years since our founding, we have touched the lives of thousands with our cost-effective, recipient-based approach to addressing disability issues. Our Center provides a diversity of resources to our local community every year.
