Easterseals Crossroads has been providing assistive technology solutions in Indiana since 1979, and in 2007 they partnered with the State of Indiana Bureau of Rehabilitative Services to create the Indiana Assistive Technology Act (INDATA) Project. INDATA is one of 56 federally-funded projects designed to increase access and awareness of assistive technology and provide services such as information and referral, funding assistance, public awareness and education, device demonstration, device loan, reutilized computers and equipment reutilization. As defined in the Assistive Technology Act of 1998, “assistive technology device” is any item, piece of equipment, or product system used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. INDATA is committed to helping all individuals with disabilities, and is dedicated to providing the best possible assistive technology services in Indiana.
